The Gratis Company consists of  3 Hungarian owned limited companies and we now function as a 100% privately owned company.




History of our company

1990.

Gratis Ltd. was founded by 4 people with the purpose of. taking part in the privatisation process of the Hungarian National Economy in the field of passenger transport and road shipping. This year the company gained authority to operate scheduled coach service between Zalaegerszeg and Budapest (230 km). Our coaches take an important role in international tourist transportation.

1993.

Our company bought the former Russian barrack (23 000 m2 ) with its premises (900m2) from the Hungarian State in order to open garage maintenance facility.

1995.

The Gratis Ltd.founded Grat Travel Service Tourist Trade Ltd. to operate a travel agency in the field of inland and international travel organization

1996.

The Gratis ’96 Autóbuszközlekedési Ltd. founded by the Gratis Közlekedési Ltd. gained the concession right to operate coach service between Zalaegerszeg and Budapest for ten years since 1st December 1996.

2006.

The Ministry of Economics and Transport invited public tender for the scheduled coach service (between Zalaegerszeg and Budapest) ran by Gratis ’96 Autóbusz-közlekedési Ltd. . As the winner of the tender, G-Busline Autóbuszközlekedési Ltd.founded by the Gratis Közlekedési Ltd. received the right to provide the service for 8 years.

In the last years the Gratis Companies have proved their commitment to passenger transport and road haulage. The continuous development indicates our long-term plans in the fields of scheduled coach service as well as travelling. Our present fleet is a result of permanent investment.

Our company holds firmly its present market position but we are working hard to gain new markets and be able to satisfy our customers’demands.

We look forward to receiving applications from companies who would take part in the local and inland coach travel service with our company.
